All about me

Hello, my name is Jacob Porter. I am from Raleigh North Carolina and I have lived here all my life. I have one sister named Katie, she is a Freshman at University of North Carolina Greensboro. My parents are both from Durham and moved here to Raleigh after getting married. I went to Wake Forest Middle School and I now attend Heritage high school as a Sophomore. I play for the football team at school and am one of the team captains. I was also a team captain of my middle school football team and it was a great experience for me to learn about leadership. I play linebacker which makes me the leader of the defense so I have a lot of responsibilities on the team. During high school, I plan on working hard and passing all my classes so that I will be able to get into a good college so that I can increase my intelligence. I also will join ASL HS in junior year so that I can learn more about ASL and about the community of deaf people. When I think about my future I would love for it to involve sports. I would also like to start a family after college. My plan is to adopt kids who are deaf so that I can teach them ASL and give them a chance at a better life. I am a huge UNC fan and have gone to their games since I was a kid. I’d love to give another kid the same chance I had at a happy childhood.
